Friday, March 24, 2006. The Sydney sky was dark. I rose, sad and excited. Sad as today was my last day in Australia. No more Koalas, symphonies at the Opera House, solitary walks along deserted beaches, nor good Aussie company. Excited, because my journey home was beginning. I hopped off at the next stop, popped over to Platform One and was headed back to Rockdale in minutes. At 9am, Thursday morning, my flight took off.
